A Requiem Mass for departed brother Knights is held by Council 10850 each year on or near All Souls Day at St. Joseph’s Church. There is a daily Requiem Mass offered for deceased members of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut, which is a significant tradition. St. Mary’s Church is where Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus in 1882, and it remains an important spiritual center for the Order. This Mass is a way for the Knights to honor and pray for their deceased brothers, in keeping with the values of fraternity, unity, and charity that are core to the organization.
