RESPECT LIFE COORDINATOR REPORT 

 

Worthy Brothers, 

 

Here's my witness report for the month of December.  I appreciate any brother and Columbiette sister who faithfully stands and prays for the unborn lives here or at any of the other 3 abortion clinics in Jacksonville (at least 3 brother Knights from other councils pray with me at Planned Parenthood as well).  I try to capture those hours in our 10784 reports now, so if any brother stand, please tell them to contact me so I can do that.  We continue with the initiative on First Saturdays using our church bus to transport people to Planned Parenthood.  However, due to our parish Eucharistic Revival on December 2 we moved our bus trip to December 9 (in January we're back to going on first Saturdays, January 6).  The bus departs from the Historic Church parking lot at 8:45 and returns by 10:30.  The Columbiettes are standing as well, especially on the First Saturdays.  Thank you, as always, for supporting our Pro-life ministry by publishing this information in our newsletter... 

 

Planned Parenthood's hours of operation are Mondays (10:00am-5:00pm), Tuesdays (9:00am-5:00pm), Wednesdays (11:00-7:00pm) and Thursdays (10:00am-6:00pm), Fridays (8:30am-4:00pm) and Saturdays (9:00am-5:00pm).  It is challenging for our Family For Life group to completely cover these hours with an effective force.  With God's grace, we continue to press on as best we can.  Please let me know if you are interested in standing for life with us (email: [email protected]).  The power of prayerful physical presence on site is very effective, but if you can't join us on site, including the unborn in your daily prayers is desperately needed as well.  Eucharistic Adoration is most efficacious and our Holy Hour for Life is the first Wednesday of each month in the Cody Center Chapel from 7:00pm-8:00pm.  Please keep praying.

* Pro-Life Handouts include information on Pre and Post Abortion Counselling, Abortion Pill Reversal, Maternity Homes, and Women's Help Center services (free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds, natural family planning education, etc.).

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, 
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. 
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, 
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. 
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. 
Today I commit myself 
      Never to be silent, 
      Never to be passive, 
      Never to be forgetful of the unborn. 
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, 
And never to stop defending life 
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected, 
And our nation once again becomes 
A nation with liberty and justice 
Not just for some, but for all,
