Eleven members of Council #10850 came to help out in this year’s Christmas Giveaway. This is a yearly program of the Knights of Columbus to promote the true spirit of Christmas in homes, schools, parishes, and communities. In our Council, we ask the students of St. Joseph Elementary School to participate and then we post all the entries at Cody Enrichment Center for the students and parents to see during our Breakfast with Santa event.
Breakfast with Santa is a free event offered to the parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Mandarin Community. It was funded from the proceeds of the Knight’s Turkey Bingo held in November. This year, we had 85 families (about 340 people) who came and had pictures taken with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
Worthy Warden Marcelo Roth coordinated the Blood Drive for this fraternal year, and we had our first Red Bus parked at St. Joseph’s Main Church last December 3rd from 8 am until 2 pm to accept blood donations from our members, parishioners, and the Mandarin Area community.
